I have refused to get involved in the battle of the sexes as my years of engagement reveals many men and women are dysfunctional,so it's hypocrisy to point fingers.
Parenting, social constructs,gender norms, culture,media etc are all guilty of telling 4 year olds boys to "be a man", "man up", "suck it up", "real men don't cry" etc.
So we create emotionless, angry , aggressive, wild men who will inflict horrendous pain on the society they live in.
When we define love as weakness to boys,we shut down their capacity to connect with themselves and the world around them.we create emotionally deficient men who would abuse women eventually.
It is humanly impossible to shut down your emotions which causes a disconnect between your heart and your head and not have problems relating with people.
If it is weakness and feminine to care,emphathise,cry, and show affection then how do women expect men to manufacture these traits in our interface with them?
Mothers everywhere I go have admitted to also saying "be a man and real men don't cry to their sons",so why are men being judged for " who we created.
Both sides are guilty of raising the quality of men we have in our world today, the earlier we stop trading blames and start the process of overhauling the better for us all.
Remember our daughters will have to coexist with the quality of men our society produced,so if we love our daughters,we will raise mature and responsible men.
